In his early years, Bal Hanuman was not just known for his strength but also for his mischievous nature. Playful and powerful, he often disturbed the deep meditation (dhyan) of sages and rishis in the forests without even realizing the impact. Annoyed by his behavior, the sages eventually cursed young Hanuman, saying he would forget all his divine powers until someone reminded him of them.
Feeling weak and lost after the curse, Hanuman turned to his divine origin. As the Rudra avatar of Lord Shiva, he sought guidance from the very source of his being—Mahadev himself.

Lord Shiva explained to Hanuman that disturbing the meditation of others was not right, but realizing one’s mistake was the first step toward growth. To restore his energy and align with his true purpose, Shiva gave him a sacred mantra to meditate on: “Ram”—the name of Lord Vishnu’s incarnation.
Hanuman spent his youth in deep meditation, chanting the name “Ram, Ram, Ram…”, not knowing that one day, destiny would bring Lord Ram in front of him in human form.
